John Buckley has curated important exhibitions of international art, including the late works of Philip Guston and Robert Mapplethorpe. He has also arranged visits of prominent artists to Australia including Keith Haring, Michael Craig-Martin, Rodney Allan Grenblatt, Carl André and William T Wiley.

Among the exhibitions of Australian art curated by Buckley is the first major retrospective show of Sidney Nolan’s works on paper in the late 70s and Nocturne: Images of Night and Darkness in Australian Art from Colonial to Contemporary in 2002.

John Buckley curated the Loti and Victor Smorgon Collection of Contemporary Australian Art which is now part of the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. He has acted as an advisor to a number of major private and corporate collectors including the Michael Buxton Collection, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deutsche Bank, the Westin Hotel and is the current advisor to the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.

DANIEL DORALL


Daniel completed a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with honours at the University of Malaya in 2002 and later gained a Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Melbourne in 2005. Daniel has worked for architectural firms in Australia and Malaysia and was involved in the setting up of John Buckley Gallery at its Richmond premise in late 2005. He has been working for John Buckley as Manager since the Gallery opened its doors in March 2006. Daniel is currently completing a Master of Fine Art in sculpture at Monash University and also maintains a successful career as practising artist, represented by Dianne Tanzer Gallery in Melbourne.

JESSIE BRIDGFOOT


Jessie completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in painting in 2003 and has recently completed a Master of Arts Management at the University of Melbourne. Jessie has held diverse roles in the arts, working as a Project Manager for a contemporary performance organisation in Glasgow and later as the founding Director of Alluvial Gallery in central Victoria. Jessie joined the John Buckley team as Gallery Manager in 2007.
